Presiden Prabowo Subianto's Vision for Indonesia's Future: Implementing Sekolah Garuda
In a groundbreaking event held on October 8, the Head of the President's Staff (KSP) Muhammad Qodari and the Minister of Higher Education, Research, Technology, and Innovation (Wamen Diktisaintek) Prof. Stella Christie officially launched the construction of SMA Garuda Baru in Kelapa Kampit, Belitung Timur, Bangka Belitung Province. This event marked a significant milestone in the implementation of President Prabowo's vision to establish elite schools across Indonesia.
The launch was carried out simultaneously at 16 locations nationwide, comprising 12 Sekolah Garuda Transformasi and 4 new SMA Garuda Baru construction sites. The event symbolized the commencement of the Program Hasil Terbaik Cepat (PHTC) Presiden Prabowo, focusing on developing high-quality education, particularly for gifted students from rural areas.
Qodari emphasized that Sekolah Garuda represents President Prabowo's vision to provide access to quality education for talented children from all corners of the country. He expressed his satisfaction with the event and confidence in President Prabowo's enthusiasm, as this initiative was one of his long-held aspirations – establishing elite schools across Indonesia.
By 2029, the government aims to establish 80 Sekolah Garuda Transformasi and build 20 new SMA Garuda Baru in high-priority areas. Qodari envisioned that these schools would become crucial instruments for nurturing a generation of exceptional young people who would support Indonesia's pursuit of becoming a prosperous nation.
The Head of the President's Staff stressed the importance of the Office of the President's Staff from the very beginning, participating in the formulation of the Presidential Regulation on Sekolah Garuda. He highlighted that the office has been actively involved in shaping the implementation of this initiative.
Qodari acknowledged that the key to success lies in the collaboration between various stakeholders, including the Ministry of ATR/BPN, PU, Kementerian Keuangan, ITB, local government officials, and other relevant parties. He emphasized that the Office of the President's Staff would continue to facilitate this process.
The challenges ahead, however, lie in the physical construction phase within the next year, which poses significant hurdles. Qodari urged continued collaboration between the Kemdiktisaintek office, local authorities, and other key stakeholders to overcome these obstacles.
Ultimately, Sekolah Garuda represents a crucial step towards creating a brighter future for Indonesia, where exceptional young individuals can thrive in an environment that fosters their growth and development.
