According to sources close to the investigation, the suspects were identified as Mayndra, KM, AY, and RR. Each played a distinct role in disseminating ISIS propaganda online.
Mayndra, who was detained on October 3rd at noon in Padang City, West Sumatra, was known for creating content promoting the ISIS cause. His online activities included producing videos and posts praising the terrorist group.
KM was arrested on October 6th at 5 pm in Pesisir Selatan Regency, West Sumatra, for sharing propaganda materials on social media. The authorities seized a cache of firearms from his possession.
AY, who was taken into custody on October 6th at 6 pm in Padang City, is accused of creating and spreading content promoting ISIS ideology online.
RR, apprehended on October 6th at 7 am in Tanjung Balai City, North Sumatra, was found to have actively incited terrorist acts and promoted support for the ISIS cause.
During the operation, Detachment 88 officers seized several items as evidence, including a green-striped vest with an ISIS logo, three notebooks containing instructional materials on establishing an Islamic caliphate, and three books with titles related to combating authorities and promoting ISIS ideology.
