Ports Denied Request to Land 120 Migrants in RNLI Boats The latest chapter in Britain's migrant border crisis unfolded over the weekend, as two ports, Portsmouth and Southampton, declined to accept the landing of 120 migrants intercepted off the Isle of Wight.
The decision was made despite the King's Harbour Master (KHM) Portsmouth being approached by the coastguard with a request to take on the migrants.
The drama played out at Eastney in Langstone Harbour, where anti migrant protesters blocked the road, preventing coaches carrying the migrants from leaving the area.
